SYNOPSIS

Brooklyn bagel baker, Tragullio (Carmine Famiglietti) has been asked to train the new employee - his boss's wife's cousin, Dana - how to bake bagels. Reluctant to share his bagel baking secrets with some kid, Tragullio accepts the charge under pressure from the boss (Tom Karlya). Dana (Joli Tribuzio) shows up, pretty and mysterious. There's something different about her. Tragullio warms to her, but he's in for a big surprise when he finds out that things are not as they seem.

DIRECTORS BIO

Matthew Bonifacio (Director/Co-writer/Producer)
Matthew is a self-taught filmmaker born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. His directing, writing and producing debut, Lbs., premiered at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for the Alfred P. Sloan Award. CAVU Pictures will release Lbs. in theaters early summer 2006. Short film credits include From Woodside, Queens (2004 Aspen Shortsfest); Drink, Kiss & Tango (2005 Chicago Latino Film Festival); Bagelized! (2005 Aspen Shortsfest) and New Boobs (2006 Florida Film Festival). New Boobs was one of six projects commissioned by the newly formed Atom Films Studio. His new short, The Watering Hole will have its World Premiere at Tropfest@Tribeca, a new program featuring only 8 shorts at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival. Bonifacio has directed and produced commercials for Major League Baseball/Verizon, DRI (starring Sugar Ray Leonard), Ad Council's Campaign For Freedom, HSBC and Open Up, which he won a Special Achievement Award for Direction at the Intercom/Chicago International Film Festival. Bonifacio co-founded The Brooklyn-Queens Experiment, a New York-based independent film company, with Carmine Famiglietti.
